Associated Lumber
I just noticed Associated Lumber has moved out of their long time location on Washington Street next to Spires Wholesale. Someone has pulled down the lumber storage buildings in the rear and the the retail space itself is getting remodeled. I see from the city permit notice posted on the front door this started at the end of August.

"Around the corner and down the block at the corner of Washington and Monroe streets, renovations to the old Associated Lumber building will be wrapping up in December. Alliance Investments is set to take up residence inside the building where, once again, Terry said the changes will be big. The building's exterior, which features large windows, will be renovated and a brick façade will take its place."
