Wal-mart to Open mid-March
According to this article on the installation of a traffic light on west 13, the new Murphysboro Wal-mart opens in mid-march. Yes, very soon yet another place to buy yet more stuff.

Well, the signs saying that the lights will be turned on on the 17th have been taken away, so when they will actually be turned on is anyone's guess.
I can't wait for the durned thing to open, so I don't have to drive to Carbondale to do my grocery shopping...
