Cynthia McKinney Visits

Overlooked in the publicity about the SIUC/Deleware game was the appearance by Green Party presidential candidate (and former Congressional representative) Cynthia McKinney. Apparently she made several appearances around Carbondale over the weekend, including the Student Center and the Town Square. Anyone attend either one of them? I assume attendance was quite a bit less than the 30,000 Oprah pulled to a Barack Obama event.

I attended both inside events that McKinney spoke at. Yes, attendance was sparse. Cold as it was, fewer people went inside to listen to a proven fighter for peace talk about issues crucial to our nation's future than attended the football game outside in the drizzle.
But I'm not drawing any conclusions.
