Inspection Fee Pushed Back
The vote on this has been pushed back to the next council meeting. The ostensible reason given is so that the Chamber of Commerce could finish polling its members.
There's got to be more to it than that. I received the email asking for my opinion on the inspection fee increase last Tuesday with a Friday deadline so that the Chamber board could discuss it. There wasn't any problem putting together a Chamber position on the sales tax increase within the same time frame when the Chamber asked the membership for its opinions.

This needs to be postponed, but we need to rush through a 20 million dollar tax increase that is opposed by a large swath of citizens? Ha.
Just another clear sign that the City of Carbondale is just another crooked community, led by the Don...or the Brad in this case...
