Your Own Private Island....

Building, that is. Herb Donow who owns several other properties in Carbondale, including the Julia building and the one housing the Capp's Law Firm, has put the Island Building (&15 S University Ave.), which currently houses Visions Hair Fashions, RockSteady/Eternal Art Tattoos, European Tan, GAUnited, and Castle Perilous Games and Books (through Monday, anyhow) on the market. Call457-7695 if you're interested.

Comments:
I'm not really interested, but any idea what the asking price might be? I wonder what kind of rent those shops are paying..?

It all comes down to the lack of parking, it would have to be cheap.

A creative businessperson ought to be able to make that location work, parking or no parking. For heaven's sakes, the town is teeming with pedestrians and cyclists with money in their pockets.

Visions and European Tan both apparently do well in the building. Visions has been there about 5 years and European Tan about 10. Castle Perilous Games and Books, my store, was paying $1325 a month for three quarters of the top floor.
